what i turned in as my first assignment for Thom Glick's Illustration workshop.

The theme is rodeo, and my character is Vivi, a sadistic rodeo clown who seduces the men to their deaths instead of distracting the bulls from their targets.

I still want to throw in some tattered cowboy parts.

All I have to say is I'm glad I picked this back up today...I liked the sketch a lot but felt I didn't go in the right direction. There's a change in facial expression, hair, color and pose and I'm enjoying it much more now. Also a detail crop that I might use for my branding assignments.

PROGRESS: Finished? I don't know yet, needs some work specifically in the splatter. I want some sense of ground in there. Also possible color variations since it is a t shirt design and then some placement. Any suggestions?

A design comp i made for a future screen print/ T shirt, a different view of "having a monkey on your back." not sure exactly what I'm going to do with the bear's color or with the background..i kinda put a weird "city" scape in the back because the figures were just floating there.

Yeah...ignore the shitty crop, it's gonig to be a vignette.

An advanced sketch on an idea I had that can be seen in my previous post. The girl is a Storm Catcher and can catch lighting and bend it to her will or even store it for later using the *insert cool trinket name here*

I'm still brainstorming a background and I like the green/purple color palette but I'm not sure if it applies lol.

Just wanted to show some progression on this piece, I've been losing sleep chiseling it out lol. Still trying to decide on design elements, I'd really like some type...cuz i loooove type.

Also I changed the subject up a bit; thinking more along the line of teenage badass mercenary in a futuristic setting...especially seeing as how she probably won't last long in space without a helmet and oxygen...

So I finally got off my ass (and sat right back down) to draw something, even if that something had no meaning whatsoever. So this piece is for shits and giggles and as you can see it's still in sketch mode.

The idea is a Spacey Femme Fatal with some nice graphic designs in the back, maybe something you'd see on a graphic T or cd cover for a horribad band. Your choice. Anywho, give me some tips, ideas, and crit the shit out of this thing cuz I'd like to start building a portfolio BEFORE senior year begins. Thanks!
